I haven’t really made any resolutions this year, except to get my PhD finished and find a job (not necessarily in that order).  But I do have some crafty resolutions:

Cross stitch

I’ve signed up for a stitchalong (SAL) with the UK-Cross-Stitch Yahoo Group, and have committed myself to stitching small items (cards) throughout the year and to doing at least one large piece of stitching.  I haven’t decided on the large piece yet, but I’m dithering between a cushion and a brightly coloured “picture” piece to donate to the hospice where my father died.

Spindling

And then, of course, there’s my new obsession!  I will be doing a lot more more drop-spinning.  I have a nice big bag of lovely undyed (brown) alpaca fibre, but my so-far limited experience makes me think that it’s not enough, so I think I’ll try to get some more before I start spinning it, so that I can (try to) have enough fibre before I start (and deal with colour variations etc).
